Julian Duval has a long professional history in wildlife management and zoo administration, gaining his experience in such diverse places as the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Indianapolis. He became the Executive Director of the San Diego Botanical Garden in 1995, and has spent the past twenty-two years helping to build the site into today’s award-winning jewel in the crown of San Diego. He is the recipient of several honors, including Horticulturalist of the Year Award from the San Diego Horticultural Society, and the Professional Award from the American Horticultural Society for his achievements in cultivating widespread interest in horticulture. His talk will be followed by a short business meeting and social gathering. Participants are then invited to explore the delights of the Garden.
